I earned a master's degree in international affairs at Columbia University, and I specialized in East Asia and international economy. As a college student, I tutored English online to students in China, which gave me the opportunity to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. I really enjoyed this opportunity, and it was rewarding to share what I knew with others to help them succeed in becoming English speakers. I like to start with a new student by identifying the gaps in their knowledge, and then I work alongside the student to set up a plan to help them learn effectively. My goal is to connect with students as a friend and mentor and to provide them with the information and guidance they need. I can tutor students in economics, statistics, algebra, Mandarin Chinese, business, elementary and middle school math, and test preparation for the GRE and other standardized exams. I really enjoy traveling, and I've had the opportunity to visit both Europe and Asia. I also enjoy yoga, playing the piano, and films.
